Catharine B Hill signed the open letter from 56 liberal arts college presidents supporting the Federal Research Public Access Act in September 2006. As of January 2007, 132 leaders of US universities and colleges have gone on the record in support of this bill.
The Director of Research Development views financial support for OA publishing as appropriate for funding of Vassar College faculty grant requests.
